Création littéraire à l'Auberge Madeleine

Fatima Errady, stagiaire à Exeko, a récemment participé aux ateliers donnés à l'Auberge Madeleine, un organisme qui a pour mission d’accueillir, d’héberger et de supporter des femmes seules en situation d’itinérance âgées de 18 ans et plus. Voici un bref témoignage de son expérience.

Dans le mois d'août, j’ai pu participer à trois ateliers d’écriture qui ont eu lieu à l’Auberge Madeleine. Chaque rencontre était différente de l’autre car le thème de la conversation changeait chaque semaine et les participantes n’étaient pas les mêmes.

Ce que j’ai beaucoup apprécié de ces ateliers est l’exercice qu’on fait vers la fin de chaque séance. En effet, pour chaque thème, les médiatrices nous invitent à écrire en fonction du genre littéraire qu’elles proposent notamment rédiger des lettres personnelles ou composer de la poésie. Cet exercice permet de nourrir les esprits et surtout de se plonger dans le passé. En effet, plusieurs participantes ont confié que depuis le secondaire, voire le primaire pour certaines, elles n’ont plus écrit de lettres ou de poésie.

Avec cet atelier, les médiatrices proposent uniquement des pistes. Toutefois, les participantes peuvent s’approprier de ces pistes de manière très subjective car l’objectif, comme l’ont bien précisé les deux médiatrices au début de l’atelier, est de rester critique peu importe la situation, de faire une sorte « de gym de la pensée ».

À la fin de chaque atelier, je suis vraiment étonnée de la richesse de nos conversations. En effet, dans chaque atelier, je me rends compte que tout le monde a des savoirs, des connaissances peu importe leurs milieux d’origine ou/et leur condition de vie. Il est important de les valoriser et d’écouter toute la richesse que chacune a emporté de son passé.

Voici le récit d’une participante qui remercie les médiatrices pour la mise en place de cet atelier.

Une participante : « Vous savez, ça aide beaucoup surtout quand on est des personnes marginalisées ou dans des situations un peu difficiles parce que ça réveille des intérêts et puis, on élargit l'horizon. Quand on a beaucoup d'intérêts, c’est plus facile remonter la pente, quand le cœur et le corps sont occupés… »

La médiatrice : « Ça nous fait plaisir d’entendre ça car nous, on offre et puis les gens en font ce qu’ils veulent. Nos activités c’est un peu comme un déclencheur et puis les gens peuvent s’approprier de ça de manière très personnelle. Des fois, ça pourrait être juste pour se changer les idées. »
