Vanou - Lettre d'une bénévole à idAction Mobile

Lettre de Danielle Aznavourian, bénévole depuis plus de 4 ans chez Exeko.

À idAction Mobile, notre caravane culturelle et philosophique qui sillonnne les rues de Montréal 4 fois semaine depuis 7 ans, à la rencontre des citoyen.ne.s de Montréal et particulièrement ceux et celles en situation d'exclusion.

 

Vanou,

Je te connais depuis bientôt quatre ans. J’avais entendu parler de toi lorsque j’étais encore dans mon pays natal. Ton nom m’avait intriguée la ‘Caravane philosophique’. Je t’imaginais comme une sorte d’agora ambulante où du haut de ton marchepied l’on pouvait s’adonner à des tirades de bon.ne citoyen.ne en quête d’idéal. Je ne m’étais pas trop trompée. Sur ton flanc s’affichait fièrement un slogan ‘La pensée en mouvement’. Ton géniteur t’avais bien conçue, accueillante pour s’y entasser en rigolant, toute finement garnie de livres, carnets et crayons. Inspirante. C’était un mardi d’octobre 2014. Je venais d’arriver à Montréal. Fred, artiste et médiateur, Dorothée, Maxime, Marine d’Exeko s’étaient rendus à l’Open Door où je les attendais pour les ‘Voies du Hasard’. Une création artistique collaborative orchestrée par Fred. Après quelques coups de pinceaux et d’échanges avec les gens de là-bas, c’est à bras ouverts que je me suis engouffrée dans ton havre de pensée et d’expression libres. Je te découvrais émerveillée par la magie de ce qui se tramait ; la recherche d’une destination où les ‘Voies du Hasard ‘ se poseront une nouvelle fois. Direction place des Festivals, où des passants se sont pris au jeu des rencontres et de l’art.

Au fil de nos escapades, j’ai appris à écouter, à comprendre l’histoire de la ville que tu sillonnes et celles des hommes et des femmes qui habitent ses rues à même le bitume. Avec toi, j’ai côtoyé la générosité et la précarité, grandi en humilité, goûté à la poésie, ouvert mon cœur et mon esprit à l’autre toujours animée par la ‘présomption de l’égalité des intelligences’. Tellement inclusif.ve, toi ! Que de questionnements avec réponses ou sans avons-nous discuté adossé.es à ta portière ! Je me souviens de cette sortie l’hiver passé. La première de la nouvelle année. Un jeudi de janvier 2018. Il faisait bien frette et tes roues étaient enlisées sous un manteau blanc. T’avais la gorge sèche si bien qu’il fallait laisser ronronner ton vieux moteur pour que tu ne prennes pas froid et que tu ne nous lâches pas en plein élan de déambulation philosophique. Fred était au volant, Maxime devant – une autre Maxime. Hasard ou pas, on s’est arrêté à l’Open Door en branle-bas de pré-déménagement. Plus tard, à la place Emilie Gamelin, des jeunes t’ont aperçue et se sont vite dirigés vers nous. Autour de tuques, gants, livres et kombucha , nous avons jasé. L’esprit éveillé et le cœur chaud, nous nous sommes quittés.

Je t’écris parce que cela fait un bout que je te vois un peu magané.e. Je sais que bientôt tu t’en iras te refaire une beauté. Tu le mérites bien. À tous ces moments, à celles et ceux qui m’ont accueillie dans ta famille, à Toi, je lève mon verre.
